What the contact form collects

• Your name, e-mail address, organisation (optional), topic, subject and message.
• The country and network (internet provider) your connection comes from, as reported by Cloudflare. These are included in the message I receive, to help me spot impersonation.
• Your IP address is used only for a moment, to stop abuse (rate limits and Cloudflare Turnstile). It is not stored; a one-way scrambled form of it is kept in a counter that expires within about an hour.

Why

• To read and reply to your message.
• To confirm the message really comes from the address you typed: a 6-digit code is e-mailed to you, valid for 10 minutes. The code itself is never stored in readable form.
• To protect the form against spam, bots and impersonation.

Where it is processed

The website and the anti-bot check (Cloudflare Turnstile) run on Cloudflare. The confirmation code is e-mailed to you through Zoho ZeptoMail (with Cloudflare as a backup), and messages arrive in my mailbox at Zoho Mail. These providers may process data outside Bangladesh. No one else receives your details, and they are never sold or used for marketing.

How long it is kept

• Messages: in my mailbox for up to 24 months after our last exchange, then deleted.
• Verification codes: expire after 10 minutes.
• Anti-abuse counters: expire within about an hour.
• Your first name is held in your own browser's session storage to greet you on the thank-you page, and removed as soon as that page has read it.

You can ask me to show, correct or delete the details you sent by writing to hello@sadabmani.me. If you would rather not use the form at all, e-mail me directly.
